Stichting Maharishi Internationale Sociale Ontwikkelingen Bescherming Van Eeuwenoude Culturen (Ascociacion Internationcional Maharishi Para el Desarrollo Social y Proteccion de Culturas Ancenstrales) is a registered non-profit foundation in the Netherlands, with RSIN number 860127977.
Purpose of the Foundation
The organization is dedicated to the the preservation and promotion of ancient cultures and the betterment of society through the worldwide promotion of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi programs for human and social development, and .
The ancient cultures of Latin America, Africa, and Asia have a great potential for enjoying the protection of their cultural integrity, enjoying economic growth, and higher quality of life. These ancient cultures are an intangible heritage to humanity to be preserved in their full highest dignity.
In addition to protecting the ancient cultural practices, the organization offers Maharishi Programs for Human and Social Development and Promotion while supporting the ancient cultures of Latin America, Africa, and Asia through Consciousness-Based Education and Consciousness-Based Vedic Education for cultural integrity and social development.
The mission of the Ascociacion Internationcional Maharishi Para el Desarrollo Social y Proteccion de Culturas Ancenstrales (AIMDS Foundation) is to focus on support and protect ancient culture of our planet, preserving indigenous wisdom and promoting their well-being and social development. the AIMDS Foundation finds, funds and supports ancient cultural communities and their programs, which involves actions that have high-impact social activities in a wide variety of sectors.
The AIMDS Foundation seeks to dramatically improve the lives of people and the world through social innovative technologies, consciousness-based technologies. Therefore, the goal is to enhance social ancestral communities, promoting their culture and development and showing the value of their contribution in today’s world.
Subsequently, the AIMDS Foundation encourages and supports the development of new charitable activities that can help solve some of those ancient community’s most complex problems, including their integration in the modern society and their cultural role and in the maintenance of their tradition, and all challenges related to these activities.
The AIMDS Foundation typically provides:

Long-term resources (such as training, research, fundraising, and consciousness-based training programs)
The AIMDS Foundation supports studies and specific community development program, mainly focused on their human resource value for society. Our key target is to enhance the value for our society of the indigenous technologies of these ancestral cultures in the areas of social, human, and environmental development.
In the process to accomplish this goal, our social outreach uses a methodology that allows the multiplication of effect through regular training of agents and monitors for social transformation and outreach of the program of AIMDS Foundation.
AIMDS Foundation does not invest, we only offer grants which are not expected to produce any return as a 100% charitable purpose.

The AIMDS Foundation is dedicated to the betterment of society through the worldwide promotion of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi programs for human and social development, and the preservation and promotion of ancient cultures.
The AIMDS Foundation’s social development programs includes the group practice of these time-tested Maharishi technologies of Consciousness, which offers an integrated support to the protection of the culture and the development of the full value of the people, preserving their cultural differences.
We are thereby supporting the Mayan cultures in Mexico and Central America or the related Inca and indigenous cultures in Peru, the Aymara in Bolivia, or the Bantu of Southern Africa, or the indigenous tribes in Asia, or the Vedic families of India and Nepal.
The AIMDS Foundation uses all the above-mentioned technologies including architecture, agriculture, and education, for holistic community and social development to improve the quality of life of the people while maintaining and preserving their cultural heritage.
The AIMDS Foundation Offers two proven methods to produce change from the inside out.
1. Create a powerful influence of peace from within for the citizens.
2. Bring increased security, positivity and progress for their city, state and nation.
There are two approaches to solving a social problem—from the outside in, and from the inside out. In the past, the most common approach has been to work from the outside in. This means analyzing and addressing the external effects of a problem, and then trying to decrease those negative effects on individuals, and for society as a whole.
The government might pass new laws to combat crime, begin to enforce existing laws more strictly, add more streetlights, or patrol high-crime areas more frequently. In some cases, these “outside in” approaches can bring an improvement in the quality of life for the people living in that area.
But there is another approach that is much more effective, working from the inside out. This means addressing the root cause of the problem at its source, and involves creating more orderly or coherent brain functioning for the people themselves.
Fortunately, there is a proven technology for solving problems from the inside out—including all of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s proven technologies for human and social development, which this foundation is sponsoring.
Change coming from the outside can create a negative feeling of “I have to.” Change coming from the inside creates a positive feeling of “I want to.” This is why inner change is more authentic, reliable, and lasting.
The AIMDS Foundation organizes projects and grants that are carefully thought through to accomplish a specific target and we plan a project implementation and evaluation to a specific group through Consciousness-Based training programs and other technologies for holistic human and social development, and community improvement.
Report of Activities Performed
At the moment AIMDS Foundation is supporting programs for the indigenous communities of Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Suriname, India, and Mozambique. This includes the traditional Vedic performances of the Vedic pandits of India and the Mayan and Imari indigenous groups.

Directors
The board is actively engaged in fundraising, promotion of programs, and implementation under their supervision. The AIMDS Foundation Board members are not remunerated in their capacity as board members. It is their joy to work towards the preservation of traditional ancestral cultures.
The Stichting Maharishi Internationale Sociale Ontwikkelingen Bescherming Van Eeuwenoude Culturen (Ascociacion Internationcional Maharishi Para el Desarrollo Social y Proteccion de Culturas Ancenstrales) board has the following members:
1. Dr. Jose Luis Alvarez Roset - Director Phd in Political Science, Maharishi University of World Peace, Switzerland DSCI, Phd, Maharishi European Research University Holland Phd of Philosophy of Education, Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega (UIGV) in Lima, Peru During the last 40 years, Dr. Alvarez Roset has been leading programs in 75 countries in Latin America, Caribbean, Africa, Asia, dedicated to human development in the areas of education, health, rehabilitation, business development, government development programs, agriculture and environment. He has been responsible for the teaching and implementation of program in Consciousness-Based education programs in about 36 countries around the world, including Latin America, Africa, and Asia. He has worked closely with indigenous community is cultural development programs and preservation of traditional cultures in Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Mozambique, Zambia, Angola, Uganda, Guinea-Bissau, India, Nepal, and Indonesia. Through these projects, he has directly benefitted more than 200,000 indigenous people. Dr. Alvarez has worked closely with presidents of various countries in Latin America and in Africa, under Maharishi Development programs. Dr. Alvarez has also directed research and development programs in the universities in Spain, Brazil, and India. Co-organizer of Hogares Claret Colombia with Father Gabriel Mejia supporting 110,000 underprivileged Children, Latin America. Dr Alvarez is responsible of implementation the various programs of the Maharishi Technologies of Consciousness in India, Nepal, Bali, Africa, and Latin-American for the direct benefit of 1.430.000 subjects, in more than 1270 Institutions. Dr. Alvarez serves on the board of several non-profit foundations for the improvement of society and is the Vice Chancellor UMLAC Maharishi University of Latin-American and the Caribbean, Curçaçao.
2. Evangalina Aguado Benito - Treasurer TV Producer, marketing specialist, qualified in macrobiotics. During the last 35 years, she has held management positions in the audiovisual world, such as RTVE, Saatchi & Saatchi in Madrid, Nickel Oden, Ganesh Global Media. She has collaborated in the organization of human development projects in the areas of education, health, business development in Latin American countries and Spain. Co-founder of the Natural Law Party in Spain founded in 1992 based on "the principles of Transcendental Meditation", the laws of nature and their application at all levels of government. Currently, she is fully dedicated to the implementation of women's empowerment programs and the promotion of values for women within traditional cultures, in Maharishi's Technologies of Consciousness programs in India, Bali and Latin America, and in Human Development programs worldwide.
3. Dr. Alison Kimberly Plaut – Secretary Phd in Political Science, Maharishi University of World Peace, Switzerland Masters of Business Administration, MBA, Maharishi International University, USA Masters of Arts, Maharishi Vedic Science, Maharishi University of Enlightenment, USA Dr. Alison Plaut has been studying and applying principles for the betterment of society for the past 25 years. She has worked on projects across the world, from New Zealand to Brazil and Guyana to India. One of her primary focuses is women’s empowerment programs and the promotion of values for women within traditional cultures. Her first book is set for publication in December 2022. It shares stories from her experience of wisdom gained from Maharishi applied to different cultures, along with stories of indigenous wisdom. It is titled: “Be More - Threads of wisdom on the path of becoming 18 practical steps for more peace, success, and happiness in YOUR life...beginning today.”
